Our fire detection systems are fully installed and maintained in line with BS5839-1 2017, the current code of practice for non domestic premises. Be it an insurance requirement or a legal obligation, Verifier fire detection systems are designed to both suit your business needs and make sure you keep your property legal and operational.

In line with the forthcoming legislation for residential properties, we offer a free survey service to bring your house in line with the new legislation for smoke, heat & carbon monoxide detection.

Our systems and designs range from convention systems to addressable systems which can be done in either hard wire using fixed cable infrastructure, wire free or a hybrid combination of both technologies.

As of 1st February 2022, every domestic property needs to meet the new regulations. Any rooms that are main rooms, perhaps lounge, living room or forming part of the hallway and escape route, must have a smoke detector and alarm. We suggest that sleeping areas should have a smoke detector no more than 3m from the door, perhaps in the hallway.

The kitchen should have a heat detector and any room with a gas appliance or boiler should have a carbon monoxide detector.

There are two types of detection

  • Mains electrical powered with battery back up and interlinked.
  • Wireless tamperproof with a sealed ten year battery and interlinked
